So Eunice and I can finally strike off another thing on our To-Do List here in Hawaii. Well actually, more of 2...
1) Watch the HUGEEE waves at North Shore
2) Watch a surf competition.
Killing 2 birds with one stone/trip I guess! ;)

Billabong Pipeline Masters 2009
Left at 6am because the drive there was a long long one. About an hour away. (yes, i sat in the car with a lab sharpay behind me for 1 hour) haha. And arrived to a crowd of at least 2oo people lying on the beach watching the already started competition.
In all honesty, I expected the waves to be muchhhh bigger because they were like 50ft (15m) on Monday, but still, it was nonetheless, BIG. They were at least... 30ft yesterday. Still not that bad! lol.

With crystal clear waters and surfers gliding through the pipes it was really a beautiful sight to see. And the anticipation of seeing if each competitor is able to get out of the pipe before the waves 'eat' them up was kinda cool. It's a pretty awesome sight actually. Hard to put in words, but I must say, its a once in a lifetime thing to see...! DO COME TO HAWAII IN THE WINTERRR! :)
These guys are photographers that have to swim out to sea just where the waves and surfers are without the help of any safety equipment or anything. Its just them, their camera and their flippers battling those waves! Now who said being a photographer is an easy job. It's definitely no easy feat alright!Although I still dont understand how they count the points, haha, it was just fun oogling at cute surfer dudes running past us! lol! uh ohhhh! :P
The Sting
ookkk. Update on my sting.
Its kinda gross now cos its healing and itching quite abit.
But i read online and its ok, so I should just pray that I won't get any permanent scars on me legggg... :(
